Saint Peter’s Church, in the Parish of East Maitland, is an Anglican community of Christians of all ages seeking to worship God, grow in faith and serve the people of our local area.
Saint Peter’s Church has a number of Ministries that cater for the needs of the community including Pastoral Ministries, Family Ministries, Music Ministries and Community Ministries, with a view to meeting the needs of all those associated with Saint Peter’s Church.
The Petrus Community gathers for worship, teaching, food and games on the Second and Fourth Sunday afternoons of each month at 5 pm in the Parish Hall at 52 Banks Street East Maitland.
The Children and Families Ministry at Saint Peter’s Church offers a range of activities for the younger members of our community including Music Time, Play Time, Fun Time, God Time and Church Time.
Saint Peter’s Anglican Church offers Emergency Relief and free Community Meals to those in need. Cooked and served by a team of volunteers, a two course meal is provided every week. Unfortunately during the Covid-19 crisis the church and parish hall are closed in line with Government guidelines and we are not able to provide a Community Meal. Once guidelines are relaxed we look forward to resuming the Community Meal.
Our Op Shop is open every Thursday and Friday from 10am – 3pm (during Covid times). Located at the rear of the Parish Hall and accessed from Banks Street, there is plenty of off street parking adjacent to the Op Shop. We offer a wide variety of goods – clothing, household items, books, toys, etc. All goods are pre-sorted to ensure that only quality items are offered for sale at competitive prices.
